United in faith to our Vermont Shepherd, Bishop Christopher Coyne, and our Holy Father Pope Francis,

We celebrate this most holy season, along with all our Christian brothers and sisters of every ecclesial community, with good will to all people of faith in every religion and to community members who work with us for peace and the betterment of all people.

The Year of Creation

The Diocese of Burlington will observe a “Year of Creation” during 2017. The diocesan-wide Year of Creation will entertain an intentional, heightened focus on ecological justice. Various events, initiatives, and resources will be made available to better educate on and encourage embracement of Pope Francis’ message in his 2015 encyclical, “Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home.”
